Antelope Canyon & Horseshoe Bend Guide
Two of the most photographed spots in the Southwest sit minutes apart outside the town of Page. Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon so narrow and deep that at midday, shafts of sunlight spear down through the top and set the swirling sandstone walls glowing orange and purple — it’s on Navajo land and can only be seen on a Navajo-guided tour, which is the rule and the point. A few miles away, Horseshoe Bend is exactly what it sounds like: the Colorado River carving a perfect 270-degree horseshoe a thousand feet below an overlook, one of the great cheap thrills in the state.
