Busy Bee Cafe Review
Busy Bee has been serving soul food on Atlanta’s west side since 1947, near the historically Black colleges, and it’s one of the most beloved and important soul-food rooms in the country — the fried chicken alone draws lines out the door and has landed on every “best in America” list worth reading. Beyond the chicken there’s oxtail, smothered pork chops, fried whiting, and sides like candied yams and collards that taste like somebody’s grandmother made them. It fed the students and leaders of the civil-rights era and it feeds Atlanta still, a genuine cultural landmark on a plate.
