Zion National Park Guide
Zion is Utah’s most-visited national park for a reason: you don’t look at this canyon from a rim, you stand inside it, on the floor, with 2,000-foot walls of cream-and-crimson Navajo sandstone rising straight up on both sides and the Virgin River threading between them. The two signature hikes are bucket-list items in their own right — Angels Landing, a spine of rock with chains bolted into it and thousand-foot drops on either side (now permit-only), and the Narrows, where the trail is the river and you wade upstream into a slot canyon that closes to twenty feet wide. It is one of the most beautiful places in the country, and it knows it.
